Information On Residential Flagpole

Residential poles are generally between 15 and 35 feet tall and are more economical than commercial flagpoles. Our traditional standard aluminum residential external halyard flagpoles are attractive and easy to install. The halyard if the rope that is used to raise and lower the flag.

Flagpole Construction

Our residential flagpoles are constructed to 6063-T6 aluminum alloy tubing that is tapered, meaning that they are smaller in diameter at the top and larger at the bottom of the pole. Aluminum alloy 6063-T6 is an ideal metal for use in flagpoles. It has the strength needed to support the flag and hardware while being lightweight and rust resistant.

The standard finish of these poles is directional sanded satin ground. You can also choose from six different color powder coat paints or an anodized finish. Note that there is an extra charge for options other than the standard satin finish.

The standard flagpole is equipped with a gold anodized aluminum ball with a flush seam. The ball sits on the top of the flagpole and gives the pole a traditional look. For those who prefer a more elaborate ornament, we also have gold anodized and natural painted eagles that you can purchase to replace the gold ball.

What Size Flag Will I Need?

Once you have purchased your flagpole, you will need to accessorize your pole with a quality flag. The size that you will need depends on the height of the residential flagpole that you purchased. Each flagpole has a recommended size listed in its specifications. For example, the recommended flag size for the 15 foot pole is 3 by 5 feet while the recommended size for the 35 foot pole is 6 by 10 feet

It is not safe to fly a flag that is larger than recommended. Doing so could result in personal injury and flagpole and property damage.

Are There Other Accessories That I will Need

Everything that you need to set up your pole is included with the exception of the materials, such as concrete, needed to install it in the ground. The main accessory that you will need to purchase is a flag. We have a variety of quality flags in stock to choose from.

There are many other accessories that you can purchase to give your flagpole a neater or more personalized appearance. For example, you can purchase, as noted above, an eagle ornament to replace the ball that is included with the flagpole. You can also purchase cleat covers with locks to deter theft, different types of flag snaps and a multitude of other items.
